food, poison, toture? what's a little rat meat among friends?

After reading up on dog food ingredients and it's production and subsequently meat processing for humans I think I'm going to be a vegetarian, the kind that eats fish and seafood, not the annoying kind that looks at all of the ingredients in every little food thing. I'll be the kind that just doesn't indulge in big slabs of meat and leans towards food that once had roots. I decidedly will not be the obsessed type inquiring, "what's this made of?" to determine if there is .05 ml of beef juice in something.  Just a little more aware and decisive.  I've already taken to tempeh and tofu so this should not be too difficult.  Wow! I feel less nauseous already.

Did you know it is perfectly legal to have a little rat meat mixed in with your ground beef and sausage?  It is even worse when it comes to pet food plants.

On a side note, this is something interesting I learned about dog meat in China.  No not meat for dogs, but the meat of dogs for human consumption.  I always thought the dog/cat warnings about Chinese restaurants was an urban legend.  I guess not .  :(
